As a member of Seizer you agree to:

1.    You will attend all filming dates which have been given to you

2.    You will be on time to all of the filming days

3.    Be respectful of surroundings and other colleagues

4.    Have your footage distributed between social media sites

This is our shooting schedule for our production Siezer (teaser trailer). As you can see it is a 5 day production time period which takes place in two major places one of which is Canary Wharf. Not only does this location bring a sense of realism into our production, but it is also a bit problematic. We aren't usually allowed to film in the city and so may get stopped by police and so we will need to take our college ID so that we are able to film.

FADE IN:

22)         INT. ROOM OF A HOUSE CELLAR – NIGHT <<COLOUR SCHEME>>

A dark room with no sign of life. A bright light turns on. TWO men come from either side of the light, helping in hiding the brightness from the light. The characters are in silhouette. The two characters seem to stare into the camera. A man takes a gasp.

Man 1

Well...

CUT TO:

Richard Smith on a seat with his hands and feet tied to the seat. The light is shined on him. His head looks down and comes back up.

Richard Smith

Well what?

CUT TO:

Man 1 lifts his hand up and threatens to give Richard Smith a punch. Man 2 gets in the way of Man 1 and holds him back. Aggressive motions are made by the man who wants to harm Richard Smith.

CUT TO:

POV/Over the shoulder shot of Man 2.

Man 2

He will talk, soon enough.

The men leave and turn the lamp light off. The room is left in the darkness.

This is a screenplay for a scene that will appear in our production.

Storyboard final

This is our final Storyboard. It shows a few key shots that we intend in using in our production. The first shot is a establishing shot of London City where the film is based. The second shot is a car following our main character Richard Smith. The third shot on the Storyboard is a shot of Richard's father and the Hitman who is going to save him. The fourth shot is the interigation scene which has Richard Smith in a dark room. The fifth shot is of a point of view shot of a punch. The final shot is of the Hitman holding a gun to another character.

These shots may not be included in the teaser trailer and definately not in the order but they will be filmed.

Impact of Product Research

By doing product research and with our knowledge of films of similar film genres, we were able to add key scenes into our trailer sequence. We have added a shot of our main character in a dark room, who gets interrogated. We saw these types of scenes in 'The Dark Knight Rises' and 'James Bond - Casino Royale'. In these films, the protagonist is interrogated in a dark room and creates a lot of suspense and tension which is what we need to create in our own trailer.
We also added the idea of the father of our protagonist is his business manager. This helps create a sub story but we will not be mentioning this in our trailer.
We have also chosen to try make the production companies fit in with the colour's of our production, this is what our product research showed us.
Finally, from our product research, we have seen that trailers for this genre of film tell a different story to what may happen actually in the film and so that is why we have left out many ideas and tried to show an Action genre film but our idea show other genres which we don't want to show.

We understand that you are the owner of the song, but due to our low budget we would like to use the entire song to help us create an exciting tone to our teaser trailer which has the working title ‘Seizer’.

This is an email we had to send to Young Turks production label because we would like to use a piece of their music and for copyright reasons, we can't just take it.

How audience feedback has impacted on our planning

We did two forms of audience feedback, two survey's and a focus group. From the survey's we were able to ask the audience on how to set the mise-en-scene for our interrogation scene. We asked this question because we had never made an interrogation scene before and we needed to know what to incled in that scene. Also we used our survey to help us understand what our target audience like for example if they would buy an Iphone will tell us we need to make our film more luxurious and more main stream like the film taken. From our focus group we learnt that we had a good plot but it was confusing to some people and so we need to improve our plot. Also they like our interrogation scene and so we should include the interrogation scene in our trailer or atleast shots of it in our teaser trailer as many people like the interrogation scene.
