Above is a magazine cover of the Empire magazine for the film Captain America. There are conventions in this magazine cover that all magazine covers have but other editions don't. Some of the conventions are:
- Image of a main character
- Slogan linked to the film on the cover of the magazine
- Title of Magazine
- Extra info about whats in the magazine like upcoming films and reviews
- Attacthment in magazine are mentioned on the front cover
- Bar code
- Specials about previous films
It is good post but it doesn't tell me what the effect that the conventions have on the reader when seeing the cover e.g. The main character on the front holding a shield who is the first avenger ever
