The teaser trailer to this eagerly awaited film starts of with the green screen. This is a usual feature for all types of trailers as it lets the audience know that what they are viewing is of suitable contect and that it isn't fake. The first shot is of a very fimiliar actor, Leonardo DiCapprio, which idicates to the audience that this is going to be a character driven teaser trailer.
Also from his clothes and his acsent, the audience is aware that this film is a western film. The first line in this teaser is 'Boy what is your name?' this has a reply of 'Django'. This creates questions for the audience as they wonder on what Django's relivence to the film is as his name is also in the title. This helps create mystery and suspense. The next shot is of Jamie Foxx (who plays Django) stating his name and then another shot of him shotting at something. This indicates the Action genre present in the film to the audience.
